Very interesting runner on the card at Gowran, on 23rd March this horse ran at naas and if you look at the finishing position of 13th of 14 but we can mark that run up a lot, that day horse raced of a mark of 80 it also raced towards the rear of the field but when started to turn for home horse was in a very bad position, horse tried to come up on the inside but there was no room so switched a bit wider and then the jockey was very easy on the horse so there are things we can take from that race to mark that run up a little. Handicapper has now been very kind to us and dropped us to a mark of 74. Horse was previously trained in England and has some half decent form to it and with being ridden closer to the pace I think we could run a big race at 7/1 ew.

We are taking a chance on this horse at a big price. Horse has now been given a major chance by the handicapper and has now slipped in the weights to a mark of 84, in 2019 horses won of a mark of 88 and also places of a 91, so that tells you how well in this horse is. Horse ran in class 2 at Redcar last time and the form of that race has been given many big boosts with 3 horses winning from that race, and it’s race before has a couple of nice form lines. Also what I like is that this horse goes very well fresh, in October 2015 horse moved from John Gosden to Rebecca’s yard horse had a 840 day break and returned in Feb 2018 and won after that long break of mark of 92, horse then ended that season on 27th October and then had a 157 day break and come back on 2nd April and placed of a mark of 90, so the fact that the horse is coming off a 250 day break tomorrow doesn’t bother me as this horse has a very good record after having a break. So there is so many things that point in the direction of a big run we have be getting on .

This is a horse that we thought to be a nice price. It’s very unexposed and has only had the one run at this venue on 9th May and that day it finished 4th, we think we can mark that run up quite a lot, that was over 6f and it was slow away and was very green early on, horse was stone cold last being ridden along and just didn’t have a clue what was going on, and like I say just very green. Horse did respond in the straight to jockeys stick and encouragement but didn’t get the clearest of runs, half way down the straight it ran into some traffic troubles but did fly home once the gap came.
That form has also had boost as well with 2 runners coming from that race 1 winning next time out. Also we are stepping up-to 7f tomorrow which will help horse get into a better position early, will need the extra trip as looks like it stays well so lots of positives and 6/1 is a fair price.

Horse is taking a bit of raise in grade tomorow but I think the price of 7/1 ew looks very fair to me. Horse ran last time back on 15th April and was in the same race as PRIVATE SECRETARY & ENRICHMENT, I can’t see private secretary turning form with us at all that horse looks to be going backwards since winning on debut in Hong Kong, ENRICHMENT ran a very solid race last time finishing 2nd behind DANCES WITH DRAGON and that horse beat it the time before, but I think our selection can turn the form around with enrichment as that did have the run of the race, making a mid race swoop our selection was very keen on the fence behind private secretary who just fell in a hole and we ended getting shuffled back on the fence to 3rd last, but once the gap come we made very eye catching ground up and was not beat that far to say what happened mid race so I do expect it to turn that form around to be the winner we are carrying a very light race and at 7/1 we have to be getting involved.

We are taking a punt on this horse, has just become so well handicapped the only problem horse is now 13 and wondering how much ability the horse has retained . I am hoping the switch of stables will have a positive effect, horse is now with Fergal O’brien was previously with the Kerry Lee. Sometimes a change of scenery can perk these older horses up . One thing we do know is this old chap will love this testing ground, horse has been dropped even further in the handicap since last run, horse is now off 146, horse was placed last in February of 152 . The trainer has fantastic stats with new recruits which is very encouraging and I’ve had a look through and it has some very interesting form lines . Also another positive for me is the fact horse has the cheek pieces back on .

This horse will have no problems with the testing ground,as that is a huge plus as it going to be very testing there . There has been a huge gamble on the fav and that may be a handicap good thing but at the price it is now I can leave it alone and hope the word we have been given for our selection is correct . Our selection has won twice in 2019 both in heavy ground and the tracks it won at can get very Heavy. Horse last time ran at Haydock in class 1 and fell at the 5th . What we have been told is this horse will make a nice horse over these staying trips . This looks a big price on what we have been told.

Horse was bought out of a very good point win at aghabullogue winning by 12 lengths on 13th jan . Horse then made his debut for Donald macCain at sedgefield and was heavily backed that day by the yard but horse didn’t give it’s running there, they found a couple of issues with horse after that run so can put a line through that race . Horse went from the front but was far to keen and ended up doing to much refusing to settle for the jockey but also made a couple of bad mistakes so horse faded away, the horse that won that race was decent horse of David pipes . Tomorrow’s race is an all weather bumper flat race and I think this will really suit the horse . Connections are expecting a good run, and it looks to be lovely ew price at 8/1
